Edward, M.A., Caius Coll., Camb., 1864, a master of the supreme court since 1879, clerk of records and writs court of chancery, etc., 1873–9, secretary to Lord Justice (then Vice-Chancellor) James 1869–72, author of Romilly's Notes of Cases, a student of Gray's Inn 17 April, 1861, called to the bar 26 Jan., 1864, bencher 19 April, 1884 (2nd son of Rt. Hon. Sir John Romilly, master of the rolls, bencher of Gray's Inn); born , 1838; married 3 Aug., 1871, Edith Mary, 2nd dau. of Very Rev. Benjamin Morgan Cowie, D.D., dean of Manchester; she died 19 Oct., 1880, leaving a dau. (see Foster's Peerage).
