London Univ. 1876 and a member of Convocation, also a member of the Northern circuit, assistant judicial commissioner Cyprus May and June, 1881, war correspondent of Daily News in the Franco-German war, Egypt, Denmark, etc., a student of Lincoln's Inn 11 Jan., 1859 (then aged 19), called to the bar 27 Jan., 1862 (elder son of Allan Maclean Skinner, Esq., Q.C., one of the masters of the bench); born 11 Jan., 1839; married 30 April, 1864, Louisa Sarah, 2nd dau. of late John Clarke Chaplin, Esq., of Tunbridge, Kent.
