Turner, Edmond Robert, judge of county courts (circuit No. 15) since 1858, M.A., Gonville and Caius Coll., Camb., 1851, B.A. (wrangler) 1848, from the Charterhouse, J.P. Yorkshire North Riding, author of A Treatise on the Employers' Liability Act 1880, a student of Lincoln's Inn 7 Feb., 1848 (then aged 21), called to the bar 27 Jan., 1852 (2nd son of George James Turner, Esq., of Lincoln's Inn, a master of the bench); born 12 May, 1826; married 5 April, 1858, Mary Louisa Blachley, 2nd dau. of Rev. W. H. Turner, M.A., vicar of Banwell.
