Wheeler, George Pearson, B.A. Trin. Coll., Dublin, a member of the Western circuit, chief clerk in the judicial department of privy council since Sept., 1876, sub-editor of Pall Mall Gazette 1870, accompanied the Prince of Wales' expedition to India and Ceylon in 1875 as special correspondent of the Central News and received a medal from His Royal Highness at the conclusion of the tour, author of The Prince of Wales' Tour in the East and Illustrated History of Dublin, a student of the Inner Temple 10 June, 1871 (then aged 23), called to the bar 6 June, 1874 (eldest son of Rev. George Wheeler, M.A., LL.D., rector of Ballysax, co. Kildare); born 22 April, 1847; unmarried.
