Wodehouse, Edmond Robert, M.P. Bath since 1880, M.A. Balliol Coll., Oxon, B.A. 1865, from Eton, private secretary to his cousin Earl of Kimberley when lord lieutenant of Ireland 1864-6, lord privy seal 1868-70, and when secretary of state for the colonies 1870-4, also to Sir Philip Wodehouse (governor of Bombay) 1875-6, a student of Lincoln's Inn 9 June, 1856 (then aged 21), called to the bar 26 Jan., 1861 (only son of Philip Edmond Wodehouse, of Demerara, governor British Guiana); born 3 June, 1835; married 1 June, 1876, Adela, dau. of Rev. Charles Walter Bagot, rector of Castle Rising, Norfolk, and chancellor of Bath and Wells (see Foster's Peerage, E. Kimberley).
