Coll., Camb., 1868, a member of the Midland circuit, private secretary to lord privy seal (Viscount Halifax) 1870-4, a student of the Inner Temple 14 April, 1868 (then aged 21), called to the bar 26 Jan., 1871 (4th son of Sir Charles Wood, Viscount Halifax, G.C.B., P.C.); born 4 June, 1846; married 9 May, 1878, Lady Mary Susan Felicie Lindsay, dau. of Alexander William, Earl of Crawford and Balcarres, and has issue (see Foster's Peerage).
