Sir George Ent
PHYSICIAN,
Was born at Sandwich in 1604, and educated at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. He had great practice as a physician, and became President of the College of Physicians, and was knighted by Charles II. He was a great friend of his fellow countryman Harvey, and published a work in defence of that physician's great discovery, entitled "Apologia pro Circulatione Sanguinis contra Æmilianum Parisanum," 1641. His whole works were published at Leyden, 1687. He died in 1689.
