as Mikado, be a representative of heaven, himself a deity of high rank, in whom is centered the glory and veneration of a nation of thirty-five millions of people. What is it but an exaggeration of the homage which the more civilized nations of Europe pay to the nobility and royalty “crowned by the grace of God?”
