Section1.This Act shall be called the "Civil Procedure Code Promulgation Act, 2477 Buddhist Era".

Section2.This Act shall come into force from the day of its publication in the Royal Gazette onwards.

Section3.The Civil Procedure Code enacted at the end of this Act shall come into force from the 1st day of October 2478 Buddhist Era[1] onwards.

The provisions of this Code shall apply to all courts throughout the Kingdom, save the special courts furnished with rules of their own, and if there is a law requiring the application of a religious custom or law to any court, such court shall apply that custom or law instead of the provisions of this Code, save where the parties have agreed upon the application of this Code.

The provisions of this Code shall apply to all the legal cases which are pending in court on the day of coming into force of this Code or which are filed with courts after that day, regardless of whether their causes occur before or after such day of coming into force.
