Paramin Maha Prajadhipok Phra Pok Klao Chaoyuhua, granted with gracious pleasure on the 10th day of December 2475 Buddhist Era, as well as the Constitution Amendment on the Name of the Country, 2482 Buddhist Era, and the Constitution Amendment on the Transitory Provisions, 2483 Buddhist Era;

He entertains an opinion that many of the constitutions put into application in the Kingdom were revisions of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, 2475 Buddhist Era, intended for bringing about new principles suiting the time, and it appears that the situations in the World have now changed a great deal, and the current circumstances of the Nation are in such a state that requires care against danger which may disturb the elated happiness of the people under His authority. Having considered with care and caution, He finds that, in the present situation, it is appropriate to bring the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, 2475 Buddhist Era, back into application, for it is more suitable than all the other constitutions having been in existence.
