Announcement
of Lifting of Martial Law in Some Areas

Phrabat Somdet Phra Paramin Maha Bhumibol Adulyadej gives a great royal command by which He orders with His pleasure that it be announced as follows:

Whereas He entertains an opinion that after the issuance of the Announcement of the Council for Democratic Reform dated the 19th day of September 2549 Buddhist Era, which imposed the Martial Law throughout the Kingdom from 21:05 hours of the 19th day of September 2549 Buddhist Era onwards, the situations in some areas now no longer require the application of the Martial Law;

Therefore, He commands with His pleasure, by virtue of the power under section 5 of the Martial Law Act, 2457 Buddhist Era, that the Martial Law be lifted in some areas and be retained in certain areas as follows:

Article1.The Martial Law shall be lifted in all areas throughout the Kingdom, except those specified in article 2.

Article2.The areas in which the Martial Law imposed by the Announcement of the Council for Democratic Reform dated the 19th day of September 2549 Buddhist Era is retained are the following areas:

(1)Kanchanaburi Province: only Dan Makham Tia District; Thong Pha Phum District; Sai Yok District; Si Sawat District; Sangkhla Buri District; and Ban Kao Subdistrict, Mueang Kanchanaburi District;
