Whereas the House of Representatives has advised Him that it is appropriate to amend provisions of the Penal Code;
Therefore, by and with the advice and consent of the House of Representatives, He orders with His gracious pleasure that the following Act be enacted:
Section1.This Act shall be called the "Act Amending the Penal Code, 2477 Buddhist Era (No. 3)".[1]
Section2.This Act shall come into force from the day of its publication in the Royal Gazette onwards.
Section3.All the rates of punishment specified in Division 2, Part 2, Chapter 2 (offences of dishonest exercise of powers and functions) of the Penal Code, shall be repealed and replaced by the following rates of punishment:
Section129:imprisonment from one month up to seven years and a fine from fifty baht up to two thousand baht.
Section130:imprisonment from one month up to seven years and a fine from fifty baht up to two thousand baht.
