the second paragraph, the President of the Privy Council shall not perform the duties as the President of the Privy Council.

In the event that the President of the Privy Council is unable to perform his duties for any reason, the Privy Council shall select one Privy Councillor to become President of the Privy Council temporarily.

Section22.Before assuming duties, the Regent appointed in accordance with the stipulations of section 19 or section 20 must affirm at a meeting of the National Assembly in the following formula:

"I, (name of affirmer), hereby affirm that I will be faithful, honest, and loyal to the Monarch, (name of the Monarch), and will perform my duties for the benefit of the Country and the people, and will also preserve and observe the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand in every respect."

Section23.Succession to the throne shall be in accordance with the gist[1] of the Palace Law on Succession, 2467 Buddhist Era, together with the approval of the National Assembly.
