The President of the Constitution Drafting Subcommittee stated: "Before we start considering the text, I would like to state to the meeting that after the Subcommittee proposed the draft constitution to the House ten days ago, I came back and raised doubt about the words that would be used, because we needed to try to refine and beautify them as best we could. So, I invited people knowledgeable and proficient in languages and literature to help consider [the draft] again. They included the Minister of Public Instruction and Phra Thamnithetthuaihan and so on. This time, they considered the words and grammar, and it was agreed that [everything] was neat. However, some words were removed, most of which were such words as 'which', 'that', and 'but'. As [the draft] has undergone the consideration of proficient figures, I hope that there would not be much disputation over the wording. In addition, I would like to inform the meeting that the public sector wants this constitution to be finished as soon as possible, because the ceremony[1] has been scheduled for 10 December, which royal astrologers have calculated [and found] to be an excellent occasion, and
