2. AMENDMENTS:

CHAPTER II.

AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION EIGHTEEN, CHAPTER: SIX, OF THE CRIMINAL CODE.

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Dakota :

Section 1. If any person shall falsely assume or pretend to bea Justice of the Peace, Register of Deeds, Territorial Auditor; Territorial Treasurer, Sheriff, Deputy Sheriff, Coroner, Constable, or Judge of probate, or any. Territorial, or county, or- township officer, and shall take upon himself to act as such, or to: require any person to aid or assist him in any matter pertaining to such officer, [he] shall be punished by imprisonment in the county jail not more-than two years nor less than three. months, and by fine not exceeding five hundred dollars nor less. than fifty dollars.

Sec. 2, All acts and parts of acts inconsistent with the provisions of this act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This-act shall take effect: from and after its passage and approval: by the Governor.

AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION THIRTY-EIGHT OF CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE OF THE LAWS OF DAKOTA.

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Dakota:

Section 1. Thats ection thirty-eight, of chapter twenty-three of the laws of 1862, be so amended that all county commissioners shall hereafter be elected for the term of three years, one to be elected each year,
