Seduction for prostitution.

§ 6530. Every person who inveigles or entices any unmarried female of previous chaste character under the age of twenty-five years, into any house of ill fame or of assignation, or elsewhere, for the purpose of prostitution, and every person who aids or assists in such abduction for such purpose, is punishable by imprisonment in the territorial prison not exceeding five years, or by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year, or by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

§ 6531. Every person who takes away any female under the age of fifteen years, from her father, mother, guardian or other person having the legal charge of her person, without their consent, either for the purpose of marriage, concubinage or prostitution, is punishable by imprisonment in the territorial prison not exceeding five years, or by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year, or by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

§ 6532. Every person who, under promise of marriage, seduces and has illicit connection with any unmarried female of previous chaste character, is punishable by imprisonment in the territorial prison not exceeding five years, or by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year, or by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

Subsequent marriage is a defense.

§ 6534. Adultery is the unlawful voluntary sexual intercourse, of a married person, with one of the opposite sex, and when the crime is committed between parties, only one of whom is married, both are guilty of adultery.

§ 6535. Every person guilty of the crime of adultery, shall be punished by imprisonment in the territorial prison not exceeding five years, or by fine not exceeding five hundred dollars, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

[By an act of congress which became a law March 3, 1887, the crime of adultery is punishable by imprisonment in the penitentiary not exceeding three years. See section 131 of the organic law as printed in this compilation.]

Every parent of any child under the age of six years, and every person to whom any such child has been confided for nurture or education, who deserts such child in any place whatever, with intent wholly to abandon it, is punishable by imprisonment in the territorial prison not exceeding seven years, or in a county jail not exceeding one year.

§ 6537. Every parent of any child who wilfully omits, with out lawful excuse, to perform any duty imposed upon him by law to furnish necessary food, clothing, shelter, or medical attendance for such child is guilty of a misdemeanor.
