§ 6879. Every person who maliciously takes down, removes, injures or obstructs any line of telegraph or any part thereof, or appurtenance or apparatus therewith connected, or severs any wire thereof, or fraudulently intercepts any message in its passage over such wire, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
Unlawful to interfere with irrigating ditches.s. 1, c. 74, 1887.
§ 6880. It shall be unlawful, for any person or persons, to divert any of the waters from any irrigation ditch, in this territory, or to interfere in any manner whatever with any irrigation ditch, without first having obtained the permission of the owner of such ditch, or of the person or persons lawfully in charge thereof.

§ 6881. Any person or persons violating any of the provisions of the preceding section, shall be deemed to be guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars, nor more than fifty, and any justice of the peace within the county where such offense may be committed shall have the jurisdiction to try and determine all cases arising under the provisions of said section.

§ 6882. Every person who maliciously injures, defaces or destroys any real or personal property not his own, in cases other chief, than such as are specified in the following sections, is guilty of a misdemeanor, and in addition to the punishment prescribed therefor, he is liable in treble damages for the injury done, to be recovered in a civil action by the owner of such property or public officer having charge thereof.

§ 6883. The specification of the acts enumerated in the following sections of this chapter is not intended to restrict or qualify the interpretation of the last section.
Poisoning cattle.s. 693, Pen. C.
§ 6884. Every person who wilfully administers poison to any animal, the property of another, and every person who maliciously exposes any poisonous substance with intent that the same shall be taken by any such animal, is punishable by imprisonment in the territorial prison not exceeding three years, or in a county jail not exceeding one year, or by a fine not exceeding two hundred and fifty dollars, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Killing, maiming or torturing animals.s. 694, Pen. C.
§ 6885. Every person who maliciously kills, maims or wounds any animal, the property of another, or who maliciously and cruelly beats, tortures or injures any animal, whether belonging to himself or another, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
