[Pursuant to the provisions of the net authorizing this compilation, there is here with given a list of the general and special laws passed by the legislative assembly since 1877, with notations showing which have been compiled, which repealed, which have become obsolete, and which are omitted because not of sufficient general importance.]

GENERAL LAWS.

1. An act to amend section 22 of the code of civil procedure. Repealed by chapter 20, 1887.

2. An act amending chapter 48 of the political code, relating to apportionment of representation in the legislative assembly. Repealed by chapter 6, 1881.

3. An act making an appropriation for completing and furnishing and maintaining Dakota hospital for the insane, and to build, furnish and maintain a territorial penitentiary. Obsolete by expiration.

4. An act concerning corporations and persons engaged in the business of banking. Repealed by chapter 20, 1881.

5. An act to prevent fraudulent banking. Compiled.

6. An act to amend section 6, chapter 5 of the political code. Compiled.

7. An act providing compensation for attorneys in certain criminal cases. Compiled.

8. An act to amend section 565 of the civil code. Compiled.

9. An act to amend section 413 of the civil code. Compiled.

10. An act to amend chapter 3 of title 2, part 3 of the civil code of this territory, in relation to corporations. Compiled.

11. An act to define the boundaries of certain counties. Omitted as not of general importance.

12. An act to define the boundaries of certain counties and to combine and consolidate others, and for other purposes. Omitted as not of general importance.

13. An act to provide for the instruction and education of deaf, dumb and blind. Separated and compiled.

14. An act to establish a public school law for Dakota territory. See note following section 1645.

15. An act to amend section 10 of chapter 27 of the political code on elections. Repealed by chapter 47, 1883.

16. An act relating to the rules of evidence in criminal proceedings. Compiled.

17. An act to amend section 446 of the code of civil procedure concerning the examination of husband and wife, as witnesses for and against each other. Compiled.

18. An act to amend sections 5 and 6 of chapter 39 of the political code. Repealed by section 14, chapter 43, 1883.

19. An set prescribing fees for the secretary of the territory in certain cases. Compiled.

20. An act to amend sections 15 and 16 of chapter 39, and section 83 of chapter 28 of the political code, enacted at this twelfth session of the legislative assembly. Compiled.

21. An act to amend section 461 of the penal code, in relation to ferries. Compiled.

22. An act regulating the time and manner of making fire-guards. Compiled.

23. An act establishing the Dakota hospital for the insane, providing for the government of the same, and for the care of the insane, and for the organization of a board of commissioners of insanity in each organized county of this territory. Parts amended or repealed by chapters 58 and 68, 1885, and part emended by chapter 66, 1887, and part separated and compiled.

24. An act to amend "An act establishing the Dakota hospital for the insane," approved February 15, 1879. Repealed by chapter 68, 1885.

25. An act making an appropriation to re-imburse the governor of this territory for money expended in constructing a hospital for the insane. Obsolete by execution.

26. An act to regulate the sale of intoxicating liquors. Amended by chapter 11, 1885.

27. An act to amend chapter 13 of the political code, relating to the subdivision of judicial districts. Part compiled and purt omitted as not of general importance.

28. An act defining boundaries of the first judicial district and fixing the terms of court therein. Omitted as not of general importance.

37. An act to amend section 4 of chapter 3 of the political code. Part supplanted by chapter 46, 1885, and part compiled.
