This routing will begin at the present junction of U. S. 301 and U. S. 50 (Annapolis-Washington Expressway), thence easterly with U. S. 50 via Annapolis, crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge to the junction of Maryland State Route 71, thence over State Route 71 northeasterly to the Maryland-Delaware State line. (A distance of 73 miles). Present U.S. 301 and U. S. 301 B. R. leading into Baltimore from U. S. 50 will be deleted from the U. S. Route Numbered system and assigned a State Route number by the Maryland State Road Commission.
