This routing will be over a newly completed 4-lane highway avoiding the congested business district area of Greensburg from a point south of Greensburg near the grade crossing of U. S. Route 30 and the Radebaugh Branch of the Pennsylvania Railroad to a point north of the north city limits of Greensburg.

This routing will be over a recently completed section of Interstate 83 from the Pennsylvania-Maryland State Line northward, by-passing York to the Harrisburg Expressway (I-83) in New Cumberland, thence eastward crossing the Susquehanna River and following U. S. Route 322-422 to present U. S. 230 By-Pass thence north on U. S. 230 By-Pass (Interstate 83) to U. S. 22 northeast of Harrisburg.

This route deletion will begin at junction of U. S. 230 and By-Pass U. S. 230 in Highspire and will extend to the junction of U. S. 230 and By-Pass U. S. 230 in Harrisburg at intersection of Maclay and Cameron Streets, a distance of 9.85 miles.
