1339 Liu Fiao ^ ^ (T. ^ ^). Died A.D. 218. A distant kinsman of the Imperial House of Han, who in A.D. 190 received the appointment of Groyernor of Ching-chou in modern Hupeh. When Li Ts^ui held Ch'ang-an, Liu Piao sent an envoy to him with tribute, and was ennobled in consequence as Marquis, besides being named General for the South and also confirmed in his existing post. After his death from an abscess in the back, his younger son Liu ^ Tsung, in whose favour the elder son Liu ^ Ch4 had been set aside by a family intrigue, openly acknowledged all^iance to Ts^ao Ts'ao.

1342 Liu Ping ^ ^ (T. ^ i^ ). 5th cent. A.D. One of the numerous pupils of Euo YU, One day the latter threw down s^^ mat and said, *'I wa^t to get a smart son-in-law. Whoever first^*^ sits on this mat, shall have my daughter." In a moment Liu was^ on the mat, and subsequently married the young lady.
