Sot. 9b . . ועקרן וכ׳ וטחנן and Samson uprooted them (the m ountains) and ground them against one another; Snh. 24a; a. fr. -- Trnsf. to have sexual intercourse (cmp. ~ko). Gen. R. introd. (R. Josh. 2) כט׳ ישראל נמשלו Israel is compared tto millstones (never resting), v. supra. Ib. וכ׳ משניות אלו הט׳ the millstones' (Koh. XII, 3), that means the study of the great Mf sh- nayoth of &c.
