boyhood and maturity; trnsf. a sheep beyond the age of
כבש and below that of איל (v. קדaנ). Par. I, 3 טרפין רבי
פי קורהו R. T. named such a sheep of thirteen months a.

VI, 8) חשודות שהם׳ פ׳ ונקראו . . . שמונים there are eighty families (of nations) that know their mothers but not their fathers, and they are called 'concubines, for the concubines are suspected (of faithlessness).
