VI, 5 ׳כו ׳ק ןהל שיש . . תרמא םא you cannot draw an analogy between congregational offerings (on the Sabbath), which are definite, and the Passover sacrifice, which is indefin- ite; Y. ib. 33a. קצוע m., pl. קצועות (קצע) those who cut down trees for war purposes, sappers. Y. Ned. III, 38a המלך ק׳ ראה וכ׳ (not קצי׳) if he saw the king's sappers come (to raze plantations).
קצופה f. (קצף) visitation by divine anger, death; ק׳ בית house of mourning. Cant. R. to VIII, 5 (ref. to הקצפתם, Deut. IX, 8) ק׳ בית אבלה לבית . . . עשיתם you caused the Lord, as it were, to be a mourner for you; there are places where they call the house of mourning beth ktsufah (v. P. Sm. 3706 s. v. ףצק). - V. אפצק.
