רביתא II f. (רבי I) 1) growth, that which advances growth, sanitary treatament. Yoma 78b וכ׳ דינוקא רביתיה the proper treatment of a child consists in (bathing in) warm water and (rubbing with) oil. Ib. רביתייהח דלאו הנך (some ed. רביתיהו) those things (as wearing shoes) which have nothing to do with their healthy growih; הנך וכ׳ דרביתייהו those other things (as ointing) which are needed for their health &c. - 2) grocth, spontaneous healing. Hull. 46b bot. רביתייהו היינו this position of the adhering lungs (one ovmlapping the other) is the means of healing; V, however, next w. - 3) = דבותא something greatt, remorkable. Y. Keth. V, beg. 29c ומר ר׳ גידול אשכח וכ׳ G. found something great and reported something small.
רביתא III f. (רבי II) lying, natural position, over- lapping. Hall. 46b bot. רביתייהו היינו such is their natutral position (and an adhesion is not necessat ily the result of a wound, v.
