Wex- ford, Ireland, was a military surgeon in H.M.'s 24th Regiment, and served in Canada in the war of 1812, and was subsequently gentleman iislier of the Black Rod to tl>e Legislative Council, b. circa 1763 ; m. 1798, the daughter of Godfrey King, of Quebec, and d. 1st July, 1833, having by her, who d. 1803, had issue, with two d,iughters, a son. William Henkt Lee, clerk of the Privy Council of Canada, b. 1799, served for fifty- one years in the Canadian Civil Service, and on his retirement in 1872 was presented by the government with a piece of plate in recognition of his " faithf nl and distinguished services." He m. 1812, Harriet Louisa, sixth daughter of the late Colonel the Hon. Samuel Smith* of Etobicokc, and by her, wlio d. in October, 1893, had issue. The family of Colling possessed freehold properly in the nciglbourhood of Ilurworth in co. Durham for several centuries.

after the American Revolution and obtained a grant of lauds in the township of Etobicoke. He was a meuiber of the Executive Council of Upper Canada, and was twice Administrator of the Government. He was the sou of James Smith, and had a sister Anne, m. Hon. Alexander
