WILLIAM ADAMS BRODRIBB, formerly of Brookley, Brightou, Victoria, and subsequently of Buckhur.st, Sydney, New South Wales, J.P., member of the Legislative Council of New South Wales ; h. in London, 2rth May, 1809; m. firstl}-, at Gunning, N.S.W., 20th June, 1844, Eliza Matilda, daughter of John Kennedy, of Keswycke, Gunning, N.S.W. (see Kennedy and Hume article helow) ; and secondly, his first wife's cousin, Catherine Kennedy, daughter of John Kennedy Hume, by whom (who rf. 23rd October, 1^88) he had no issue. By his first wife (who was b. at Appin, N.S.W., lyth March, 1816, and d. 19th October, 18G8) he had, J. WiLLUM Kennedy (Rev.), B.A. (Melbourne University), rector of Putley, Herefordshire, England, formerly of Martinhurst, Hawks- burn, Melbourne, Victoria ; h. at Boolneniang, Maneroo, New South Wales, 16th October, 1847; m. at St. Martin's Church, Brighton, Sus.se.x, England, 13th January, 1880, Anna Montgomery, only daughter of the late Major Owen Richard Nathaniel Lloyd, of Rockville, co. Roscomraou, Ireland (see Landed Gentry), and by her has had issue, 1. OwiN Adams Kennedy, b. ISth May, 1S81. 1. Eanswith Alice Kennedy, b. 23rd February, 1883; d. 5th March, 1889. II. Kenric Edward, of Caniely House, East Melbonrne, and formerly of Poolamacca Station, Broken Hill, New South Wales, J. P., 6. 9th October, 1849; m. Theresa, daughter of C. G. A. Brodribb emigrated with his parents to Tasmania in 1816, and went to New South Wales in 1836 ; engaged in pastoral pursuits with hi.s brothers, and became possessed of large sheep statior.s in New South Wales.
