Accommodations and Transportation—Costs

The Crater Lake Company, under a concession from the Department of the Interior, operates a camp 5 miles from the lake and a hotel and camp on the rim of the lake, but every person is at liberty to provide his own means of transportation and to camp, subject to regulations.

At Crater Lake Lodge, on the rim of the lake, guests are furnished with beds in floored tents. A stone and frame hotel is being constructed, and it is expected that the kitchen and the dining room will be in service early in the season and that the bedrooms will be completed before the season closes.

At Camp Arant, 5 miles below the rim of Crater Lake, the Crater Lake Company maintains a camp for the accommodation of guests, a general store for the sale of provisions and campers' supplies, and a livery barn.
