A COMPLETE COURSE IN DRESSMAKING

What seam do you use at the shoulder and underarm of a fine chemise?

How do you use the pattern in working out a fancy design for insetting lace?

In sewing on lace edging do you place it on the right or wrong side of the goods?

How do you shape the shoulder straps of an undergarment to make them stay on the shoulders?

APPLY WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED

Lesson III has carried you a few more steps. You are now more at home in using the block pattern which you first learned about in Lesson II. Why not try your hand at copying some styles that are not in the lesson?

Take your own favorite fashion magazine and pick out a pretty chemise that you want to copy. Even if you do not intend to make it up, copy the style in a pattern. It will give you excellent practice.
