Oeil d'airain. A red, fierie, sparkling eye; (Such a one as Lyons, and the leaporous haue.)

Oeil blaffard. An eye whose Christaline humor is growne white, and almost dryed vp; (an imperfection that befalls old people.)
Oeil de bœuf. The hearbe Ox-eye; also, foolish Mathes, vnsauorie white Cotula, white vnsauorie Camomill; also, an out-strouting, or great gogle eye; and, prouerbially, ignorance; or a weake eye; also (in building) such an ouerture as is made in some roofes, and close walls, by a ridge-tyle (or in the forme thereof) to gaine light or ayre from without, or for the voiding of smoake from within.
Oeil de bouc. A rolling gogle eye; also, an eye that lookes asquint vpward; an eye whose lid couers halfe of the ball; also, a shell-fish, called a Limpin, or Lempet.
Oeil de carré. A squinting side, or leering eye; also, a prowd, surlie, statelie, or big looke.

Oeil de chat. Purple Snapdragon, Calues snowt (an hearbe;) also, a Cats eye; a sight thats better in the night then by day; also, an out-strouting eye; also, a white stone that glisters like a starre, and casts an azure luster.
Oeil de chevre. A whall, or ouer-white eye; an eye full of white spots, or whose apple seemes diuided by a streake of white.
Oeil d'hypocrite. An often-twinkling eye.
Oeil de Iudas. The Nut, or Fryers peece of a Leg of Mutton.
Oeil de lievre. An eye which in sleeping holds the lids open; also, an eye whose vpper lid by conuulsion, or otherwise, is hindered from couering the vpper part of the white.
Oeil de loup. A duskie, or darke eye.

Oeil de moruë. A great, and out-strowting (but dull-sighted) eye.
Oeil de perdrix. A bright, or orientall rubie Red; also, a kind of Fig.
Oeil de rat. A small eye, pinke-eye, little sight.
Oeil rosti. A Carbuncle in the eye.
Oeil de travers. A squint, or leering eye.
Oeil veron. A deprauation of the eyes; when the Christaline humor growes white, or is almost dryed vp in onely one of them; or when they are both of sundrie colours; or when their apples be verie blacke; also, a whall eye; whence the Prouerbe, Le Cheval à oeil

Blanc oeil. Gens aux blancs yeux. White-liuered, faint-hearted, people. Blanc en l'oeil. Il n'a point de blanc en l'oeil. He is a verie spirit, he hath not a crosse to blesse him with. Oeillade: f. An amorous looke, affectionate winke, wanton aspect, lustfull iert, or passionate cast, of the eye; a Sheepes eye.
Oeilladé: m. ée: f. Often, or affectionately eyed; looked on wantonly, winked at lasciuiously.
Oeillader. To eye often, behold affectionately, winke at lasciuiously, looke on wantonly; to cast a Sheepes eye at, to dart at with a passionate eye.
Oeilladette: f. A prettie winke, iert, cast of the eye.
