This year Ceadwalla and his brother Mul laid waste Kent and Wight; this Ceadwalla gave to St. Peter's monastery of Medesharastede a valley in a certain island called Heabureahg, the name of the Abbot of the monastery at this time was Egbalth, he was the third after Saxulf, Theodore being then Archbishop of Kent.
