It has long been a matter of surprise and regret to all thinking men in the profession, that there should be no book in existence that can be called a satisfactory treatise upon the various forms of Hysteria; none in which an attempt has been made to trace the cause of this disorder, and the elements of which it consists; nor any to which the pracWiener can resort, or direct others, with much prospect of useful information.
