May in a crown of radiance stream

The banner of thy sovereign realm display;

The emblem of thy cross is seen to blaze.

After prayers they left the sanctuary. The arch-commander bade them, after a short respite, return to the choir, and pray to God again to enlighten the priests and members of the council.
