the south-east before ramifying into several distinct branches to form its "goosefoot" delta. All the waters ultimately find their way seawards through numerous mouths, such as the Melambe on the south, the Inhamissengo or Kongoni towards the north, the eastern Lu-Ebo, the Muzelo or Catherine, the Inhamiara, and others.
