TREACHEROUS TEXTS

Made it their pride and pleasure
To pass the scallops' measure—
The better scallops' will.

Then perished party passion
When it was understood

Were not too clever for food.

And men will yield at a touch
Of scallops acting as such,
True to their scallophood.
