In Geemany. 559 was born, near Warsaw, of German parents : after a course of study in the Diisseldorf School, she then went to Rome, where she met and married Adolf Jerichau the sculptor, with whom she returned to Copenhagen ; and thenceforth became famous as a painter of portraits and historic and genre pieces.
