Cunnigham, Sir A., Inscriptions of Asoka (Caleutta, 1877), chiefly useful now for topographical details: Senart, Émile, Les 1nscriptions de Piyadasi (Paris, 1881, 1888); still indispensable, although based upon faulty texts: V.
