man-raʾa. He then advanced to Jurzân and succeeded in laying hold on Isḥâḳ ibn-Ismâʿîl, whom he kept in confinement until his death. Bugha reduced Jurzân, and carried away those Christians and non-Christians of Arrân, of the elevated region of Armenia,[1] and of as-Sîsajân, who belonged to the revolutionary party. Thus the political state of affairs in that frontier region became so quiet as never before. In the year 241, he came to Surra-man-raʾa.
