"Then search was made in the house of books where the treasures were laid up in Babylon and there was found at Achmetha in the palace ... a roll." This "house of books" is the archive-library. "The house of books" where the document was found and the "treasure house" of the king are both translated by Jerome as "bibliotheca." The LXX translates both as "bibliophylactery" or "book-keep"—the "book-ward" or place where books are kept, as robes are kept in a ward-robe.
