Sennacherib’s hosts didst thou shame by night; Babylon's god fell in the dark of night; Daniel was shown the king’s dream of the night;

It came to pass at midnight,

Drunken Belshazzar was killed that same night; Daniel was saved from the lions’ den at night; Hateful Haman wrote letters in the night;
