Certified to be a true copy of a Minute of a Meeting of the Committee of the Privy Council, approved by the Deputy of His Excellency the Governor General, on the 28th March, 1939.
THE Committee of the Privy Council have had before them a report dated 21st March, 1939, from the Minister of Mines and Resources stating:—
That an application has been received from Mr. Eugene A. Whittington, Gardener, of Fort Simpson Settlement in tho Northwost Territories to lease six acres, more or less, on the north side of Blue Fish Island situated three and one-half miles easterly from Fort Simpson in Mackenzie River, in the Northwest Territories, for gardening purposes: and
That the land applied for is available according to the records of the Department of Mines and Resources, and that it is not required for public purposes.
The Minister is of the opinion that this application should receive favourable consideration and therefore recommends that under and by virtue of the provisions of Section 74, subsection (k). Chapter 113, RS. 1927. authority be granted to blue a lease of the mid land as described hereunder to Mr. Eugene A. Whittington on the anal terms and conditions. with the addition of a clause providing for cancellation upon six months' notice, the said lease to be for a term of ten years from the first day of April, 1939, at a rental of Five (35.00) Dolllars per annum payable in advance with the right of renewal for a further like term if deemed advisable.
Description
All that parcel of land containing the improvements of Eugene A. Whittington on the north side of Blue Fish Island situated three and one-half miles easterly from Fort Simpson in Mackenzie River, Northwest Territories, in the Dominion of Canada, which parcel is bounded on each 500 feet in length, and 600 feet perpendicularly distant apart, the said lines being drawn southerly from two points on the high water mark of Mackenzie River and perpendicular to the straight line joining the said points; bounded on the south by the straight line joining the southerly ends of the aforementioned straight lines and bounded on the north by the high water mark of Mackenzie River. excepting thereout a strip of land 50 feet in perpendicular width along the said high water mark: the parcel herein described containing an area of six acres, more or less.
The Committee concur in the foregoing recommendation and submit the same for approval.

WHEREAS the National Harbours Board has, by Minute dated the 15th day of August, 1939, recommended that the Governor General in Council be requested to repeal certain By-laws of the National Harbours Board relative to Grain Elevator Tariffs and to make, in lieu thereof, new By-laws, all as hereinafter set forth;
Now, Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council. on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, is pleased to repeal and doth hereby repeal, effective on and after the First, day of September, 1939. the following By-laws of the National Harbours Board. namely,—
(a) By-law No. 96. being Tariff of Grain Elevator Charges applicable at the Harbour of Halifax, N.S.;
(b) By-law No. 105. being Tariff of Grain Elevator Charges applicable at the Harbour of Quebec, P.Q.;
(c) By-law No. 85, being Tariff of Grain Elevator Charges applicable at the Harbour of Montreal, P.Q.
(d) By-law No. 1. being Tariff of Grain Elevator Charges applicable at the Harbour of Churchill, Manitoba.
His Excellency in Council. on the lure recommendation. is further pleased to make new By-laws in the form and terms of the By-laws hereto annexed, and they are hereby made and established in the place and stead of the By-laws hereby repealed such new By-laws to be effective on and after the First day of September, 1939.
