ZONNALA

Zonnala (millet : Sorghum vulgare). — Zonnala, or the equivalent Zonnūkuti, has been recorded as an exogamous sept of Kāpu. The Kōyis hold a festival when the zonna crop is ready to be cut, at which a fowl is killed in the field, and its blood sprinkled on a stone set up for the purpose.
