Permit me, in my own behalf, and on behalf of many earnest, thoughtful women of my acquaintance in the state of Oregon and the territory which you have as Chief Majistrate, to cordially thank, and earnestly congratulate you for having signed so promptly the bill lately passed by the legislature at Olympia, conferring suffrage upon women.
