In spite of the fact that vesperllna was ignored by Cooper's contemporaries, and has until now remained ahnost completely buried, there seems to be a distinguishable western race of the Tree Swallow, and tiffs should be knoivn as Tachycinela bi- color z'ea?erlina (Cooper). x876.
