Aug. l, 1806, and succeeded his father in the Baronetcy, 181 6, and his grandmother in the Peerage, 1817; was a Representative Peer for Ireland, a Lord in Waiting to the Queen, 1852, 1858 9, and 18668, and a Dep. Lieut, and a Magistrate for (co.) Roscommon m. Oct. 19, 1833, Lady Georgiana, Paget, 3rd daughter of the 1st Marquess of Anglesey; and d. Dec. 27, 1869, having had issue four sons and one daughter. CROFTON, Baroness, GEORGIANA PAGET, 3rd daughter of the 1st Mar- quess of Anglesey, G.C.B., G.C.H., P.C. : m. 1833, the 2nd Baron Crofton, who d. 1869. Residence, Mote-park, (co.) Roscommon. CROMARTIE, COUNTESS OF. (LEVESON-GOWER.) ANNE SUTHERLAND LEVESON-GOWER, 1st Countess, only child of John Hay Mackenzie, Esq. Born April 21st, 1829 : married (1849) the 3rd Duke of Suther- land, (see that title) . Heir, Her second son, Francis, Viscount Tarbat, b. 1852. (For her ladyship's other children, see Sutherland.) Creation, Countess of Cromartie, Vis- countess Tarbat, Baroness Castle-Avon and Ba- roness M'l.eod, all in the peerage of the United Kingdom, 1861, with right of succession to her second surviving son.
