John Fitzgerald- Day, of Beaufort-house, Killarney, and has issue, living, Son, Charles Towry Hamilton, b. 1856. His lordship married 3rdly (1863), Isabella, who died 1874, only child of Alexander Ogilby, Esq., of Pelipar, co. Londonderry, and has issue, living, Daughters, Gertrude Edith, Emily Julia. His lordship married 4thly (1874), Beatrice, daughter of Sir Norton Joseph. Knatchbull, 10th Bart. Sisters living, Mary, m. 1839, the 3rd Baron Kilmaine. Elizabeth Sophia, a mm. Superior of the Franciscan Order, of Gorey, co. Wexford. Frederica, m. 1st. 1848, her cousin, Edmund Law, Esq. ; 2ndly, a foreign officer. Was Chief Clerk of the Court of Queen's Bench until the abolition of that office : Lord Privy Seal 1828 9, President of the Board of Control 1Q28 30, ]834 5, and 1841, Governor-Gen. of India 1841 4, First Lord of the Admiralty 1846, and President of the Board of Control 1858. Received the thanks of both Houses of Parliament for his administration in India: m. 1st 1813, Lady Katherine Octavia Stewart, who d. 1819, 8th daughter ot Robert, 1st Marquess of Londonderry, and niece to the 1st Marquess Camden ; Sndly, 1820, Jane Elizabeth, only daughter of Admiral Sir Henry Digby, G.C.B., which marriage was dissolved by Act of Parliament 1830.
