He was b. Dec. 3, 1775, and succeeded his father Dec. 8, 1786; his lordship, through a reversal of the outlawry, by the Court of Queen's Bench, took his seat in the House of Lords in 1800 : m. Dec. 19, 1794, Margaret, daughter of the 2nd Viscount Southwell, (she d. 1820) ; and d. Feb. 10, i860, having had issue seven sons and two daughters. GORT, VISCOUNT. (VEREKER.) Caroline Harriet Gage, 3rd daughter of the 4th Viscount Gage, and has issue, living, Sens, John Gage Prendergast, 6.1849; educated at Harrow; appointed Sub-Lieut. Limerick Artillery Militia 1875. Maria O'Grady, daughter of the 1st Viscount Guillamore, (she d. 1854), and by her had issue six sons and five daughters; 2ndly, June 10, 1861, Elizabeth Mary, widow of George Tudor, Esq. and d. Oct. 20, 1865, without issue from his last marriage.
