HOWTH, Earl of, His lordship's predecessor was his father, Thomas, K.P. 3rd Earl of Howth, Lord Lieut, and Custos Rotulorum of the county of Dublin, and Vice Admiral of the Province of Leinster. He was b. Aug. 16, 1803, and succeeded his father 1822. Educated at Eton. Was a Magistrate for co. Dublin : m. 1st, 1826, Lady Emily de Burgh, who d. 1842, 2nd daughter of the 13th Earl of Clanricarde; and 2ndly, 1851, Henrietta Elizabeth Digby, only child of Peter Barfoot, Esq., of Midlington House, Hants. He d. Feb. 1874, leaving issue by 1st marriage one son and four daughters, and Toy 2nd marriage one son and two daughters.
