Salop, Armagh and Down, of which latter county he was High Sheriff 1871. Sat as M.P. for Newry 1871 74, when he was an unsuccessful candidate. Appointed Capt. Salop Yeomanry 1871. April 15, 1/48, and succeeded his brother in the Viscountcy 1818 ; raised to the Earldom 1822 ; was a General in the Army, and Col. of the 86th Foot: m. Feb. 20, 1787, Anne, daughter of Thomas Fisher, Esq., of Acton, she d. 1816, and d. Nov. 21, 1832, having had issue two sons and eight daughters.
