His lordship married 2ndly (1873), Lady Victoria Elizabeth Ashley, daughter of the 7th Earl of Shaftesbury, and has issue, living. Daughter, b. 1875. TEMPLEMORE, Baron, His lordship's predecessor was his father, Arthur, 1st Baron Templemore. He was b. Jan. 8, 1797; was M.P. for Wexford for many years, a Lord of the Bedchamber to the King, a Lieut.-Col. in the Army, and, in 1831, was raised to the peerage of the United Kingdom: m. July 27, 1820, Lady Augusta Paget, who rf. 1872, daughter of the 1st Marquess of Anglesey, K.G. and d. Sept. 26, 1837, having had issue six sons and two daughters. TEMPLETOWN, VISCOUNT. (UPTON.) GEORGE FREDERICK UPTON, K.C.B. 3rd Viscount, in the peerage of Ireland, and a Representative Peer for Ireland, 2nd son of John Henry, 1st Viscount, by Lady Mary Montagu, only daughter of the 5th Earl of Sandwich. Born August 5th, 1802; succeeded his brother in 1863; was educated at Eton, and at Christ Church, Oxford ; entered the Cold- stream Guards as Ensign, 1823, became Lieut. 1825, Capt. 1826, Major, 1837, Lieut.-Col. 1841, Col. 1851, Major-Gen.
